Sports Medicine

Sports medicine topics are becoming increasingly important. Whether it's the ambitious young athlete who wants to get the best out of themselves; the injured athlete who wants to rebuild their sports performance as quickly and sustainably as possible; or people who are just starting to get into sports to live a healthier life and/or lose weight. Often, myths are circulating through schools, clubs, and other meeting points that ultimately serve the industry rather than the individual's health. We are happy to advise on all these questions. However, we recommend that older people with degenerative changes consult a suitable orthopaedic practice.

Typical questions we are asked include:

  • Sports fitness examination
  • Overload reactions
  • Hip and groin complaints
  • Rehabilitation and sports rebuilding after injuries
  • Sports rebuilding
  • Sports for weight control (usually weight loss)
  • Prevention of malnutrition in sports
  • Nutrition in sports
  • Sports for children with chronic illnesses (e.g. asthma, eczema, anaphylaxis, diabetes mellitus type I)
