Outpatient Operations

Many operations can now be performed on an outpatient basis. Therefore three areas are important:

• the patient, including care options and accessibility to a clinic in case of problems
• the operation, including the intraoperative risk, possible complications, and scope of the operation
• the anesthesia (which is often required for children)

We usually do not perform procedures under anesthesia here in the practice due to the associated risks. For procedures under anesthesia, we cooperate with clinics where we can perform these procedures ourselves or have them performed by experienced colleagues. We have a fixed cooperation for the performance of outpatient operations with the St. Josefs Hospital directly opposite the practice and the anesthesia team of Drs. Deja and Mittelstädt, who have special expertise in anesthesia for premature infants, newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. Here, we perform procedures for you that can be done on an outpatient basis and for which we have the necessary prerequisites. The operations are currently always performed on Saturdays, making it easier for you to organize care in general.

Outpatient Operations at St. Josefs Hospital
